Try A New Crockpot Recipe!

How many of you love a good crockpot recipe? I know I am not alone in this. Crockpots are a dream come true during a busy week (or heck, even during a regular week). You get to toss ingredients into the pot first thing in the morning and then magically have a meal ready for you when you arrive for the evening. Pretty darn sweet if you ask me!

Today, I encourage you to look up a new crockpot recipe and give it a whirl this week or weekend! I found a recipe for Taco Soup and am going to put the ingredients in the crockpot during my lunch break. I can’t remember where I got this recipe and I have not tried it yet so I hesitate to put it out in the blogosphere for fear that it will not be up to par, but I really have YET to try a crockpot recipe that stunk. So here it goes… the super easy recipe I will try today:

Crockpot Taco Soup

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef (brown it first)
  • 1 can black beans, undrained
  • 1 can light red kidney beans, undrained
  • 1 can corn
  • 1 pkg taco seasoning
  • 28 oz can crushed tomato
  • Other spices I will probably throw in there to my liking: Garlic & Herb, Sea Salt, and maybe a little Red Pepper

After browning the meat, toss all ingredients into the crockpot. Set the crockpot to low for 4-6 hours. Voila! It’s ready… sprinkle some cheese on top if that’s the way you like it!

I can’t wait to try this later. I will let you know how it tastes. My expectations are set a little high for this one. Happy crockpotting!
