Simple Thoughts

I totally dig rhymes, deep thoughts, spiritual connections, and anything that gets the brain churning.  I welcome new thoughts and cherish old ones.

One powerful thought that I most certainly believe in is that you have two different options whenever you don’t like something.  1) You can change it.  2) You can change your attitude about it.  Choosing one of these two options keeps you thinking positive and moving forward.  It can help reduce stress, leads to good decision making, and is not that hard to do.  Try it next time you find yourself in a negative rut!

My work space is full of positive messages.  No, I am not a 100% feel-good-all-the-time type of person (who is?!), but I do believe in the power of positive thinking.  My two favorites include the following messages:

  1. “Be in love with your life. Every minute of it.” -Jack Kerouac
  2. “Peace begins with a smile.” -Mother Theresa

Delighting in the simple things helps me achieve number one above.  Smiling more helps me achieve number two.  Never underestimate the influence of a smile.  So simple, yet personal and touching.
